McLaren’s Unveiling Date for 2023 Challenger

AlphaTauri will begin their “kick off season” on February 11th in New York.

On Monday 13 February, the Woking-based team will take on Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team, who have also chosen the launch date of the all-new AMR23.

Scuderia Ferrari will appear on Valentine’s Day, and on February 16, the BWT Alpine F1 Team will present Enstone’s A523.

Furthermore, McLaren Racing’s driver lineup will include 23-year-old Lando Norris in his fifth season with the team under contract until the end of the 2025 season.

Rookie Oscar Piastri will put Briton at the helm of the new challenger, replacing compatriot Daniel Ricciardo.

The 21-year-old will make his Formula 1 debut as a full-time driver when the lights go out at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

After being relieved of his duties as reserve driver for the Alpine F1 team before the end of 2022, the Australian enjoyed his first official day driving for McLaren in late November, taking part in a Pirelli tire test in Abu Dhabi, completing 123 laps.

Earlier, Piastri tasted the 2021 McLaren in the private test.

The first driver to win the Formula Renault, Formula 3 and FIA Formula 2 championships in a row will drive the No. 81 car next year.
