The hope is gets alive as per media reports, International Olympic Committee IOC has formally invited International Cricket Council ICC to make a presentation to the inclusion of game at LA Olympic 2028. However, the final decisions will be accrue at the IOC board meeting in Mumbai at second mid of 2023. Furthermore, IOC has shortlisted cricket inclusion in Olympic LA 2028 along with eight others sports in line, the followings sports included baseball, kick boxing, motorsports, karate, squash, softball, break dancing etc. Earlier this year in February, the IOC has shortlisted 28 games that would be featured in LA 2028 Olympic games and with the focus on youth.
The cricket has last been featured in 1900 Paris Olympic Games when Great Britain and host France face each other in lonely match at Paris. Now cricket is being tried to included in Olympic by International Cricket Council.
However, the cricket viewership is expected to above more than billions of people around the world and is being more popular by South Asians nations like India, Pakistan, Sri Lank and Bangladesh as well. In recent bid the T20 women cricket has been included in the Birmingham game 2022. According to the ICC the cricket was being played at Commonwealth game at UK and its get ” STAR ATTRACTION” . In the nut shul, ICC is too optimistic to include cricket in LA 2028 Olympic. However, the ultimate decisions will be the LA Olympic committee regarding cricket fate in Olympics 2028.
