ICC T20I Rankings: India hitter Suryakumar Yadav has cemented his second spot in the batting charts. He is only 16 points behind world number one and Pakistani wicket batsman Muhammad Rizwan.

Indian hitter Suryakumar Yadav closed the gap between him and Muhammad Rizwan for the first place race in the ICC T20I Hitters Rankings. Suryakumar cut the difference to 16 points after a consistent streak against South Africa at home.
Suryakumar Yadav is in second place with a PIR of 838 points, 16 points behind Muhammed Radwan, who is still at the top of the hit lists. Mohamed Radwan could have extended his lead had he not rested in the sixth T20I against England at home and scored heavily in the final T20I. Rizwan left for only one in the series finale, which Pakistan lost and relinquished.
He could have surpassed Suryakumar Yadav Muhammed Rizwan had he scored in a big way against South Africa in the T20I final. However, on a rare holiday, the Mumbai Indians were down for 8 as India failed to chase a total of 228 rounds against South Africa in Indore on Tuesday October 4th.
This means that the battle between the two will continue over the next month when both Pakistan and India are among the favorites to win the eighth edition of the T20 World Cup in Australia.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam consolidated his third position with 801 ranking points. He cannot be excluded from regaining first place in the multiplication charts. Babar hopes to make a significant contribution to the upcoming tri-series involving Bangladesh and New Zealand in New Zealand in the run-up to the T20 World Cup.
South Africa’s Aiden Markram and England’s David Malan completed the top five.
India’s inaugural KL Rahul jumped three places to 14th on the updated roster on the back of 108 rounds from two games against Proteas, while South African trio Quinton de Kock (up eight places to 12th), Riley Russo (up 23 places to 20. ) and David Miller (10 places up to 29th) were also eye-catching movers.
The Hundred Russo helped South Africa come home with a win as the Proteas successfully defended 227 kicks to deny India a sweeping streak.
Reliable top-ranked David Malan climbed to fifth after a consistent streak between England and Pakistan, with teammate Ben Duckett (who went up by eight places to tie for 24) improved.
