India will participate in baseball event in Pakistan

Indian baseball team has confirmed his participation in the 15th West Asia Baseball Cup to be held in December in Islamabad.

According to the President Pakistan Federation Baseball Syed Fakhar Ali Shah that Pakistan has been given the hosting rights of the 15th West Asia Baseball Cup by BFA Baseball Federation of Asia. The baseball event will be held at Islamabad from December 20 to 24 this month.

However, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Palestine had already confirmed their availability. Similarly, Iran and Nepal has also been invited and their response ies being waited.

Last month, Pakistan baseball team had participated at Panama for Baseball Qualifier 2023 that will be held in four cities included Taichung, Tokyo, Phoenix and Miami as well.

Shah said, Pakistan Army Sports Directorate had supported coach Nisar Ahmed to organized team training before Panama baseball qualifier and it helped a lot for players to get knowledge about the game.

Pakistan has the great potential to get his name on international level in baseball and the sports authorities should make policies to introduce this game at school levels, he added.
