Former footballer Amir Nasr-Azadani get death plenty by Iranian officials

Amir Nasr-Azadani, a former player for the Rah-Ahan, Tractor, and Gol-e Rayhan football teams, is in vulnerability of execution.

The Islamic Republic’s judicial system is planning to hang him for a crime it calls “moharebeh”(.“WAR AGAINST GOD”)

According to Iran’s ISNA news agency, the 26-year-old was arrested last month in connection with the deaths of three security personnel during protests in Isfahan and has been accused of “waging war against God”.  Iranian footballer Amir Reza Nasr Azadani is facing the death penalty following his alleged contribution in the uncontrolled nationwide protests associated to the death of Mahsa Amini after she was detained by Iran’s so-called morality police.
The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) and The International Federation of Professional Footballers (FIFPRO) said it was “shocked and sickened” by the punishment. Intensely denounces this sentence and calls for it to be withdrawn..
