Champion boxer Muhammad Waseem has levelled serious allegation of bribe against Pakistan Boxing Federation tp in his recent interview to Daily Scoop TV.
Muhammad Waseem 34 years old great boxer from Pakistan made a shocking revelation against PBF that how he was force to pay a bribe in order to get international training opportunity.
He also revealed that he was forced to sign an agreement with the federation’s president in order to get the nod for his contract with Korean Promotor Andy Kim.
It is worth mentioning here that Muhammad Waseem won his last 12 boxing fights 1 defeat and he won most of them fights with KO style.
According to his statement, federation force him to pay 20 percent income of his all earnings prize wherever he earn either form fight money or commercial etc, he added, ” Fraud and deception are commonplace in all faces of life in Pakistan, When I found the Korean Promotor Kim Andy told me that he would be sign contract with me and help me become a professional boxer. But we want to have a chat first with President of Pakistan Boxing Federation and only than could he share the contract with me.
Waseem added, “ when he approached the federation’ s president he asked me to sign a contract with him as well. I did not have any other option but to accept . I could not say no to him because then it was likely that my talent would also go to waste. So I agreed to it and they even took my thumb impression . It happened here in Karachi. ” he added.
On the other hand , responding to the allegations PBF said that the current management has no link with the illegal demand for money from the boxer. Pakistan Boxing Federation also clear that Muhammad Waseem has the part of boxing circuit that is not recognized by PBF so he is independent to make his own choice without the any role of PBF.
However, the federation will discuss the matter in his upcoming executive meeting due to held in February 2022, in order to give solid respond to the boxer allegations against the federation.
